The owners of a house damaged in an explosion earlier today are thankful they weren't at home with their baby at the time. Emergency services were called to the scene of the fire this morning after they were called about the fire by commuters who saw the blaze from the motorway. A fire service spokesman said two people were found inside the home by staff. They were removed and given first aid, before St John arrived.
A car flipped outside a primary school in Auckland this morning and nearly landed on a woman in a parked car. The crash took place outside Hillsborough Primary School at around 8.50am. One person suffered serious injuries in the incident. St John ambulance said it took three other people to hospital, two with moderate injuries and one with minor injuries.
