Overseas clients are buying super-fine New Zealand merino wool through the internet, in many cases for prices higher than reserves not reached at auction.
About 250 wool lots have been sold in the past two weeks on the New Zealand Merino Company's internet selling system, Merino On Offer, which started this selling season.
The fleeces traded for between 50c and $5 more than the reserves at last week's wool sales.
