Winston Peters is back for his fortnightly catch up with The Country's Jamie Mackay.

Major banks are closing branches in provincial New Zealand towns and rural people are losing their jobs. Mackay wants to know if Peters thinks small town New Zealand is dying as a result of this.

The Silver Fern Farms vote is done and dusted. Winston Peters has always been a vocal opponent of the Shanghai Maling deal and his vehemence has not subsided one iota on the subject.

Jamie Mackay takes this opportunity to wind the New Zealand First leader up until he reaches fever pitch.
