Winston Peters has been like a dog with a bone over the Shanghai Maling deal with Silver Fern Farms. Now that the deal has been approved he has a bone to pick with Silver Fern Farms Chairman Rob Hewett.

Peters doesn't believe the buyers are in a good enough financial state to be able to afford the deal in the first place.

In fact Winston gets so riled up he challenges Hewett to a public debate in the Gore Town Hall to sort out this mess once and for all.

Jamie tries to diffuse the situation by chatting about Fonterra lifting their forecast milk price by 50 cents. Surely that's some good news?
