Golden Shears champion Cam Ferguson has claimed first place at the Royal Cornwall Open in England.
Two other New Zealanders featured in the five-man Cornwall final on Friday, with Far North shearer Matthew Smith finishing third, and fifth place going to Dannevirke's Paerata Abraham.
Ferguson was first off the board in the 14-sheep final, finishing in 10 minutes and seven seconds.
The win was the 26-year-old's first victory since the Golden Shears in Masterton in March, when, as a first-time finalist, he beat a host of veteran champions to claim the first of two machine-shearing places in the New Zealand team.
