Good, consistent prices for a yarding of 426 weaner dairy stock at the latest Dannevirke/Pahiatua sale reflected stability in the market, good for both sellers and buyers.

Numbers were down on the first sale of the season but keen local interest meant prices for the 250+ Friesian weaner bulls in the market were consistently over the $500/head mark.
The top price of $555 went to Van Asch Farming. Friesian bull prices were higher than other markets in the Manawatū.
