Water across the eastern part of Western Bay of Plenty has been given the all-clear apart from three roads close to the Pongakawa water treatment plant.
Although, residents were still advised to test the water before drinking or bathing in it as a precaution.
A written statement from the Western Bay of Plenty District Council said a small number of people reported issues this morning.
Council repeated the message to residents in Pukehina Beach, Paengaroa, Maketu, Little Waihi and Pongakawa to test the water by rubbing fingers together in the running water.
If the water felt slimy to the touch, then keep flushing until it cleared.
Water cylinders should be flushed completely and households with header tanks were advised to do the same.
People in the areas may also experience low water pressure due to the system-wide flushing that had been taking place.
Council utilities manager Kelvin Hill said flushing of the eastern area water system has been completed and testing of pH levels showed they had returned to normal apart from Arawa, Kaikokopu and Tainui roads in Pongakawa which require additional flushing.
