We've got a couple of Dougs for you today on The Country. Inspirational farmer Doug Avery and soil scientist Dr. Doug Edmeades. Jamie goes for the jugular and asks each Doug who they think will win next week's debate over water quality - Professor Jacqueline Rowarth or Dr. Mike Joy?
Speaking of water quality, Jamie wants to know if Dr. Doug thinks we've dropped the ball with ours in New Zealand. Jamie doesn't want a wishy-washy answer and Doug doesn't disappoint by telling our host he's "stupid" for suggesting that intensive dairy farming could be causing it.
Continuing with the aquatic theme, Jamie wants to know how the Dougs are going with the weather in their region - dry or wet?
Finally Jamie apologises to Dr. Doug for calling him a wishy-washy fence-sitter and all's right with the world.
