The Country's Rowena Duncum catches up with Fieldays boss Peter Nation for a chat on day two of the big event.

Nation says the crowds have been coming through the gate in droves.

He says says there was an outstanding line-up of innovations at the Innovations Awards presentations this morning - with more than 70 entered. "Innovation technology drives New Zealand primary industry."

Nation previews tonight's international dinner - there are more than 40 countries at Fieldays this year, the most ever - and looks forward to Friday, saying it'll be Fieldays' biggest day.
