The Southern Field Days in Waimumu wrapped up on Friday after one of its biggest years to date.
More than 750 exhibitors displayed their agricultural-based products to tens of thousands of people.
The last day of Southern Field Days saw a visit from Minister for Agriculture Damien O'Connor who acknowledged the difficult times faced by southern farmers affected by both drought conditions and the cow disease Mycoplasma bovis.
O'Connor says Field Days are the perfect opportunity to reach out, "To get out and talk with other farmers, and people often sharing the same challenges, is really, really important."
There we plenty of crowd pleasing events during the day, with a gumboot throwing competition and the tractor pull which saw some of the biggest crowds of the day, with everyone keen to see the heavy machinery in action.
