Watch: Dame Valerie Adams' gumboot throw

Dame Valerie Adams earned another national title this weekend at the Hilux NZ Rural Games.

She's now the national gumboot throwing champion.

Dame Valerie said it was the first time she'd ever thrown a gumboot.

"Had two throws to work it out then it was game on," she posted on Facebook.

"A national title and 8cm off the NZ record. Not a bad effort at all. I probably should've trained for it though."
