Tree felling work is continuing at sites on two main highways through Hawke's Bay and motorists can expect travel delays up to five minutes as a result.
Logging contractors are at work on forest sites in the Tutira area of SH2 north as well as around Rukumoana Rd off SH5 near Te Pohue about 40km north of Napier.
A New Zealand Transport Agency spokesperson said there were temporary speed limits in place and there would be times when traffic would have to be halted as stop/go signalling would be operating.
Similar traffic slowing procedures are also currently in place between Morere and Tutira on SH2 as roading repair work is carried out at various sites.
Contractors are also at work on three sites among SH50 between Napier and Takapau.
