It could just be the ultimate statement for the quintessential kiwi - a coffin made out of sheep wool.
The coffin has been on display among the fleeces at the Malvern A and P Show in Canterbury.
When Polly McGuckin was approached by the convener of the wool section at the Sheffield show to see if she would like to have a woollen coffin on display, she was initially not sure it would be appropriate.
Mrs McGuckin, from Darfield, has the rights to import the coffins from the UK, where they are hand-made and assembled in Yorkshire by specialist textile company Hainsworth.
But she raised the suggestion during a meeting with the appropriately named Christchurch-based funeral directors Lamb and Hayward and they were very supportive.
