The Country has an exclusive for you from Steve Hollander and Tim Myers. They're here to announce the details of the inaugural Norwood New Zealand Rural Sports Awards in Palmerston North on March 10 2017.
The awards will cover the whole of the rural sports industry and is another step up in assisting the profile of rural sports around New Zealand.
There's wood chopping, shearing, sheep dog trials just for a start and Hollander reckons the judges will have their work cut out for them picking a winner with the high calibre of rural heroes around the country.
Federated Farmers are in support and CB Norwood is the naming partner, which brings us to Tim Myers (who Jamie owes a bottle of wine). Myers reckons CB Norwood is an excellent fit for these rural awards.
