A keen eye for quality livestock has helped a South Taranaki farmer secure a spot in the final of a national contest, but bridesmaid duties could prevent her from attending.
Hannah Brewer was named the overall Taranaki/Manawatu champion at a NZ Young Farmers Stock Judging Competition in Whanganui last month.
It was the 25 year old's first time entering.
"I'm rapt with the result and very surprised," she said.
Hannah placed first in the sheep, beef and dairy sections of the competition, which attracted 18 entrants.
