The heavy rain storms which swept across Hawke's Bay a fortnight ago are still being felt in terms of travel disruptions on State Highway 2 between Napier and Wairoa and State Highway 38 through to Waikaremoana.
The rains caused a string of slips, particularly in the Tutira area where contractors are still at work clearing debris.
With trucks and loaders operating on the stretch, along with stop-go signalling and speed restrictions in place, motorists can expect delays.
Temporary speed restrictions and signals are all also in place at sites along the highway where surface repairs are being carried out.
Slip removal work is also continuing on SH38 between Mangapapa and Frasertown where minor delays can also be expected.
