Lifestyle blocks overshadowed a quiet rural property market in October, according to the latest rural sales figures. Sales of lifestyle properties rose from 597 in September to 642 in October, with the median selling price increasing from $295,000 to $312,250. The increased national median selling price for farms for October (at $865,000) is a reflection of a low level of market activity and the impact of sales of more expensive properties, rather than an overall trend.
