With a sunny, warm morning after a postponement the day before due to rain, Ruahine School held a successful Lamb and Ag Day on Tuesday October 31.

With no calves due to the M. bovis threat it was a smaller affair than usual, but there were 42 lambs with their young owners taking part — in a predominantly dairy farming district.

There were lots of parents and grandparents along to support the day and a sausage sizzle did a roaring trade as lunch approached.
