Mike Davey, regional manager at Ravensdown, says he is delighted the co-operative is in a position to pay an early interim cash rebate for the fourth year running.
"Paying $15 for every tonne purchased before the last day of May this year, is great news for farmers and farming services businesses in the Taranaki.
"It signals the co-operative is tracking well despite challenges with the weather over the summer and a slower season than last year. The money will be in shareholders' accounts in June. which helps with their cashflow."
Mike says there might be more good news coming as well.
"Of course there's likely to be a further final rebate, but that's up to the board to decide after assessing the financial year accounts."
