KEY POINTS:

Rural services company PGG Wrightson is to buy AgCentral, the farm supplies business of Tatua Co-Operative Dairy Co, for an undisclosed price.

AgCentral, based in a store across the road from the Tatua processing site in Tatuanui, near Morrinsville, was offered for sale by the co-op.

PGG Wrightson
chief executive Barry Brook said the acquisition strengthened his company's operations in the premier Waikato dairying area.

PGG would be expanding the range of services available to the co-op's 118 members, Mr Brook said.

"We will be bringing the full range of services from PGG, making them available largely using the site as the focal point."
