Peta compromise

A US animal rights group has offered the Australian Government a deal to end a campaign against Australian wool farmers.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta) says if the Government implements a genetic programme to phase out the mulesing of sheep it will halt the global boycott campaign that has led global retailers to instead source wool from New Zealand and South Africa.
