The school's March 2018 ERO report said since the last evaluation in 2015, there had been staffing changes, including a new principal and new trustees.
The school roll — which currently stands at 70 — had remained steady with pupils coming from the rural Argyll East community but also from Otane, Waipawa and Waipukurau.
It said that 85 per cent of pupils were achieving nationally benchmarked expectations in reading, writing and mathematics.
"Those students, whose learning needs acceleration, are identified, well tracked and monitored through raising achievement plans.
"There is a clear focus on achieving excellent outcomes for all students," it said.
It went on to state that the "systematic, collaborative inquiry processes and professional learning and development" at the school "aligned very well with the school vision, values, goals and targets."
"Through a strong focus on students knowing and leading their learning, children are valued for what they bring to their ongoing education"
"Students participate and learn in a caring and inclusive learning community.
"A clear curriculum framework sets expectations for high quality teaching and learning," the report said.
Principal Julie Thewall said she was really proud of the results achieved by the trustees, teachers, support staff, families, students and the wider community "who work extremely hard to create a great learning environment at the school."
"It is an absolute pleasure to be a part of this team, working together to provide educational success for all of our students."
Thewall said pupils were currently rearing some calves at the school farm, which was up and operating again, while the wetland and riparian area had created an outdoor learning environment for the pupils.
The school's open day from 1pm to 3pm this Saturday afternoon is open to everyone.
