New bank for Fieldays

National Bank will replace ANZ Bank as one of Fieldays' co-sponsors from next year.

The bank will join Telecom in a "strategic partnership", New Zealand National Fieldays Society president Rod Bryant said.

ANZ, a sponsor of Fieldays since 1975, bought National Bank for $5.7 billion last year.

National Bank, which absorbed the Rural Bank a decade ago, has a strong tradition in the rural sector and is a long-time sponsor of the Young Farmer of the Year.

Fieldays will be held at Mystery Creek from June 15-18. The theme is People on Farms, Managing Your Workplace.

Telecom joined Fieldays two years ago.
