A shareholders' meeting will be held in Dunedin next month to vote on proposed changes to Silver Fern Farms Co-operative's Ltd's constitution.
Input from shareholders on proposed amendments to the constitution, which include increasing the number of directors on the board, has been sought.
The proposed refinements cover governance development, appointed supplier directors and limits on the tenure of directors, as well as farmer-director eligibility and voting eligibility.
The proposals were discussed with shareholders and suppliers at 17 events in June.
The recommended changes require a 75% vote. Voting papers will be sent out later this month and a shareholders' meeting will be held at SFF's head office on September 14.
