Overcast skies and occasional drizzle could not dampen the enthusiasm of the crowds at the West Otago A & P Show in Tapanui on Saturday.
Organisers estimated several thousand visitors came through the gates during the day-long annual town and country get together.
Society president Robert Kane said the 106th show had "gone magic", possibly because of, rather than despite, the weather.
"We've been lucky as the weather's probably kept a few more of the locals off their tractors today, without getting too cold. So it's been a very good crowd".
