The Country: The New Zealand First leader says when it comes to a geo-political power play in the Asia-Pacific region it’s not ‘America First’, it’s China first, second and third!

Winston Peters is not pleased with the recent Memorandum of Cooperation for New Zealand chilled meat exports to China.

The New Zealand First Leader says exporting chilled meat to China is not an example of free trade and any National politician who thinks otherwise is naive.

Peters goes on to say that like the United States with its "America First" attitude, China is only concerned with "China First, China Second and China Third".

Mr Peters then deflects The Country's Jamie Mackay's suggestion that he is a Trump supporter, he just knew that he would win the election, "unlike the New Zealand media."
