Today's panel features former president of Federated Farmers Don Nicolson and Tim Myers who is the chief executive of New Zealand's biggest selling tractor company, C B Norwood.

Nicolson and Myers spoke to Jamie Mackay about farmers rallying against Labour's proposed water tax in Morrinsville today.

Tim is based in Palmerston North which he says has a positive business community.

He is worried that Labour's policies and the upcoming election are affecting the optimism the region has been enjoying for the past five years.

"The confidence we currently feel is at risk from what might happen this weekend."
