Today on The Country radio show, host Jamie Mackay catches up with Niwa’s principal scientist Chris Brandolino, for an update on Hurricane Milton in the US and the wet and dry weather in New Zealand.
On with the show:
Chris Brandolino:
Niwa’s principal weather scientist, and Native New Yorker, talks about Hurricane Milton in Florida, the wet in Southland and the dry in North Canterbury and Hawke’s Bay.

Warwick Catto:
We wrap the show with the 1995 Young Farmer of the Year.
