Shearing season has started but one sheep in particular has been preoccupying Sir David Fagan.
The shearing legend spoke to The Country's Jamie Mackay about the social media frenzy surrounding "Boofy," after his son Jack gave the sheep an All Blacks-inspired mullet haircut.
"I couldn't believe it ... I was hosting these calls from all sorts of media throughout New Zealand and they all wanted to talk about this bloody sheep".

"It's [a] good tongue in cheek [story] and quite a bit of fun," admits Fagan, and although he's pleased Boofy-mania has died down, he says the mullet will remain due to the sheep's newfound popularity.
