The Country: The world’s most decorated shearer wraps the World Shearing Champs, the Southern Shears and yesterday’s new world eight-hour record for ewes.

The World Shearing and Woolhandling Championships may be over but there's plenty more where that came from. Jamie caught up with Sir David Fagan for an update on what's going on in the busy shearing world.

Last weekend the Southern Shears took place along with the Counties Shears in Pukekohe and yesterday the world eight-hour record for ewes was conquered by Leon Samuels.

Sir David lends his considerable expertise on topics such as the rigours of the eight-hour v nine-hour challenge and the incredible amount of fitness needed to achieve these goals.

Jamie also brings up the awkward fact that Sir David told him a "pork-pie" last time they spoke, a trait Mackay reckons is unbecoming in a Knight!
