Should New Zealand lower its greenhouse gas emissions by reducing the number of dairy cows...or should we be looking at having fewer people?
Jamie Mackay put this thorny question to chief scientist for the Environmental Protection Authority Dr Jacqueline Rowarth on The Country today.

In today's interview, Dr Rowarth and Jamie discuss China's one-child policy, the environmental impact of a growing population and whether New Zealand has surpassed the "sweet spot" for dairy cow numbers.
