Today's panel on The Country features two high-profile women in agriculture who've recently set up their own agribusinesses, Megan Hands and Chanelle O'Sullivan.
Chanelle O'Sullivan is one of the founders of Facebook page NZ Farming Mums and has just launched her new business, Virtual Insight. Virtual Insight uses virtual reality and 360 degree videography to showcase New Zealand's Primary Industries.
Megan Hands says setting up your own agribusiness can be a scary process but the best thing about the rural community is how supportive people are of new ventures. Her business LandSavvy helps farmers to deal with the paperwork surrounding environmental audits.
Also in today's interview - Megan gives an update on the feeling in Canterbury around the spread of cattle disease Mycoplasma bovis saying it has caused farmers to be more vigilant with biosecurity.
