Green party co-leader James Shaw had a chat to The Country's Jamie Mackay about Cyclone Cook and whether increasing climatic extremes are the result of climate change.
Shaw recently attended the Otago Ballance Farm Environment Awards and was really impressed by what he saw. These awards celebrate positive farming stories in stark contrast to the negative depiction on the recent Sunday show "The Price of Milk."
James Shaw hasn't seen "The Price of Milk" but says that the media is always looking for conflict and drama. Shaw reckons the environment is everyone's problem, not just farmers and that New Zealanders all need to work together to solve it.
Jamie cheekily suggests that the Greens are a bunch of posers after seeing their latest cover shoot for North & South magazine. Bill English likened it to Desperate Housewives. Shaw laughs this off and says the Prime Minister is just jealous...
