Rabobank's Brent Irving has some good news and some bad news for Kiwi farmers. The Farm Ownership Option National Manager spoke to The Country's Jamie Mackay today about the current ups and downs for rural New Zealand.
The Good News
Meat prices are doing well at the moment. Mutton, fine wool, venison, lamb, dairy and beef are all performing well reports Brent who says "we've very rarely seen them all up like this at once."
The Bad News
The weather. Extremely dry conditions are starting to put strain on some rural areas in New Zealand. "It really is quite stressful" says Irving, especially when stock water and feed become an issue.
