Fonterra Regional Head for Northland, Mike Borrie caught up with The Country Early Edition's Rowena Duncum to talk about Mycoplasma bovis and an upcoming webinar from the dairy co-op.
Nationwide testing for Mycoplasma bovis is in full swing and has been going well so far despite being a "huge logistical feat," says Borrie. Northland has Mycoplasma bovis meetings next week and Borrie is expecting a big attendance and encourages farmers to take part.
"It's really critical that farmers attend [meetings] so they can pick up their testing kits."
Fonterra has another webinar coming up and Borrie reveals the topic will be "Using technology to farm for the future." Borrie says the webinar theme was chosen by Fonterra farmers and that "asking them what they want to hear about is really important."
Fonterra's Future Farming webinar will take place next Wednesday, February 21, at 7pm.
