It has been a busy six months for Dr Chris Morley.
The Biosecurity Response Manager at DairyNZ told The Country Early Edition's Rowena Duncum that he has been helping with the response to the Mycoplasma bovis outbreak since last July.
Dr Morley says DairyNZ has ways of helping farmers protect their farms which was highlighted in a webinar on Thursday.
The Q&A webinar with Dr Morley focussed on the importance of on-farm biosecurity which has increased in the face of the Mycoplasma bovis outbreak.
Dr Morley discussed not only Mycoplasma bovis but also what farmers can do to help reduce the risk of other diseases, (as well as weeds or pests), entering, spreading or leaving their farms.
