Head of co-operative affairs for Bay of Plenty, Lisa Payne caught up with The Country Early Edition's Dom George today to talk about the threat of Cyclone Cook on the region.
Beds for up to two hundred people have been set up in Bay of Plenty evacuation centres for anyone effected by the floods.
Lisa says it's been a "heck of a week" and Fonterra have been working with their farmers to get stock off the land. The co-operative's processing site was also shut down and evacuated although they're back in there now.
Farms have been damaged in the Bay of Plenty region and Payne gives Dom an update on what Fonterra has been doing along with Federated Farmers and Rural Support Trust.
