Andrew Little's resignation was "a long time coming" according to political commentator Bryce Edwards.
However, all is not lost for the Labour Party according to Edwards who says the "Jacinda Ardern effect" will be big enough to push Labour up in the polls and may mitigate any instability perceived by the electorate.
Edwards spoke to The Country about media commentary on Ardern and whether he thinks she has what it takes to lead the Labour Party.
