The Country's Jamie Mackay caught up with Jessie Chan-Dorman who is the newly-crowned 2017 Dairy Woman of the Year.
Chan-Dorman has an impressive CV and has always been involved in the agricultural sector, starting fresh out of high school at the Dairy Research Institute. She had many roles until she met her husband Hayden and became a hands-on dairy farmer.
Jessie is a busy woman. She's involved in many institutions including being the Director of the Ashburton Trading Society and a member of the New Zealand Asian Leaders.
All this and she still finds time to do all-year-round milking on a 420 hectare farm out of Rakaia. Jamie Mackay wonders if she gets any sleep!
Have a listen to the many talents of Jessie Chan-Dorman in the interview with The Country's Jamie Mackay in the audio clip above.
