In the mix of a successful New Zealand sporting weekend, two Kiwis produced an eggcellent result at the World Egg Throwing Championships.
Riki Paewai and Kris Richards claimed the World Egg Throwing Title on Sunday (UK time) in the 13th annual event in the English village of Swaton.
Scrambling their competition, Paewai and Hornstein poached the Egg Throwing & Catching title while setting a new world record throw of 93.60m.
The pair held the previous record of 85.96 meters, which they set at the New Zealand Rural Games in Palmerston North in March.
