It's the first day of the financial year for Fonterra which means it's the day they confirm the forecast payout and dividend for the upcoming season. Fonterra chairman John Wilson spoke to The Country's Jamie Mackay about the results.

The forecast remains the same and the dividend has increased slightly on 2015/2016 but Wilson says farmers will still have to take a precautionary approach with their budgets.

Jamie pushes the envelope by asking Wilson; is he tempted to add a sweetener for cash-strapped farmers and maybe lift the milk price for the 2015/2016 season?
