Prime Minister John Key starts today's show talking about ridding New Zealand of pests. Not The Country host Jamie Mackay, but possums, stoats and the like. Yes it's the Predator Free Policy.
Predators cost New Zealand a lot of money so the Government is determined to try and get rid
of them all by 2050. Key believes the use of 1080, advances in self-setting traps and new technology not yet developed will all be integral to the eradication process.
What about rats though? Surely they can't all be destroyed?
