Human error on the part of Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry officials allowed a shipment of genetically modified sweetcorn into the country, initial inquiries show.
Up to 4420kg of contaminated sweetcorn seed was subject to the investigation and MAF says steps have been taken to minimise the chances of it happening again.
