The Waihi Herb Society will talk about hemp at a public meeting in Waihi on Sunday, September 25 during Hemp Awareness Week.
Coinciding with the week, the group will host two speakers to discuss legal industrial hemp growing in New Zealand.
NZ Hemp Industry Association spokesman Richard Barge will talk about new developments in the industry.
Chris Woodney, from NZ Hemp Brokers, will explain how to grow hemp from seeds and processing equipment.
Jill Robertson from the Waihi Herb Society says the public meeting is open to anyone who would like to attend.
