Nadine Porter is the Communications Manager for the FMG Farmer of the Year Competition. She caught up with The Country's Jamie Mackay to chat about the big event taking over Timaru at the moment.

Mackay goes straight for the awkward question first. Why on earth is the FMG Young Farmer of the Year Grand Final not being televised until eight days after the event?

The Country host then takes the opportunity to ruin Porter's childhood crush on the Pet Shop Boys's Neil Tennant. Nice one Jamie.
