The Fieldays bus from Hamilton runs every 30 minutes between 8am and 11am and will commence again for the return journey between 1pm and 5pm.
An alternative option is to drive to The Base in Hamilton or Cambridge's BMX club on Milton St where Fieldays has set up park 'n' ride bays.
Buses will be going directly to the event from these two locations every half an hour and you'll be able to ride for free with your Fieldays ticket.
Te Awamutu does not have a similar system in place yet, but Fieldays said it is looking to provide the option to other areas in the future.
If you live in Cambridge you can also hop on the Cambridge to Hamilton bus for free and go into the transport centre to catch a Fieldays bus there.
Cambridge is fortunate to have the park 'n' ride option available after the initiative was declined by Waipā District Council.
However, Fieldays decided to fund it to provide alternative options and reduce congestion on the roads.
If you haven't got your Fieldays tickets yet, head down to your local i-Site. If you buy from the centres you'll save money by not having to pay any booking fees and you'll also be supporting the centres, as tickets sales are their biggest fundraiser of the year.
If you pop into Te Awamutu i-Site, check out the restored McCormich Fairway 12 tractor (pictured) owned by Alan Wallace.
* Fieldays tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children. For more information on the buses and park 'n' ride visit your local i-Site or www.fieldays.co.nz/visitor-info/
