Federated Farmers today urged all farmers and other landowners to close off public access to their farms in a week-long protest at the government's access reforms.
Federated Farmers president Tom Lambie says farmers are absolutely opposed to the Government's intention to give the public the right to walk on private land along waterways.
The "Action Orange" protest will begin at 1pm next Thursday, June 16 and finish on June 23.
Farmers will display an orange ribbon on their closed gates for the week.
