Despite only 30 calves on sale at New Zealand Livestock's last Dannevirke sale on Thursday the trends of previous weeks - good prices for good calves - were retained.
Two good sized Friesian calves reached over $100 but three smaller ones ranged between $40 and $70.
Nine white-faced bulls varied between $80 and $185 and four two-week old Angus crosses took out the top price of $230.
Strong demand for heifers saw prices on the higher side of $150, three big white-faced Friesians reaching $205.
Buyers came from all over, the furtherest being Rachel Hooper from near Taihape.
