A young boy is being taken to Tauranga Hospital with an arm injury after getting stuck in a mechanical lift on a rural property.
Firefighters helped free the boy, who got caught in the lift on a property in the Western Bay of Plenty shortly after 2pm.
Two St John ambulances also attended, and are transporting the boy to hospital.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman Colin Underdown confirmed a crew had been at the property on Maniatutu Rd, in Pongakawa.
The boy had sustained a minor injury to one of his arms.
