The Country host Jamie Mackay has done a completely unscientific poll with his mates at the Riversdale pub.
Why should this concern Finance Minister Bill English? The poll was about tax cuts and what Mr English should do with his $1.8 billion surplus.
English vows to take their opinions into account. For the record, they were farming friends and didn't want any tax cuts. Should we put the money towards health instead?
Mackay also wants to know what's happening with the thorny issue that is immigration. Would it be a good idea to send migrants to the regions?
